Bogum and Bear

I wonder what you guys were thinking? Do you remember being this age?
To anyone reading this: What is the earliest age that you can remember in your life? I can remember things very clearly from the age of 4 years old....but then ask me what I did yesterday and it just ain't thar!

I remember things from about 2 years of age. I very clearly remember my childhood and I think it helps me commiserate with the children I care for and take things from their point of view.
One of my very first memories is of Mom singing "When he Cometh" (correct title?)at night holding me in the old rocking chair, and also the infamous box of cereal, gallon of milk, and bag of sugar-on-the-floor-while-Mom-is-trapped -on-the-phone-incident. Muahahahaha!

That was Sara's old coat! That's probably when you became infected with the Sara gene and vice versa and you two became Sarlissa or Melara!

I do remember us coming to meet you guys at school one day but it's like a foggy memory...did it happen??? It's so hard to know what's real and what is a dream cuz they way the females in this family are wired, we even DREAM the same stuff! I think it did happen though.

No one ever believes me when I say that I remember all the way back to a few months before my one year birthday. Some of my friends, who are sociology majors, say that it isn't possible that I could remember that far back and that we only start remembering things around the age of five. I beg to differ.

Wow! Before you were 1! That is amazing. My earliest memory is 3 years of age and I can remember a ton of stuff from the age of 4 - things that happened that none of my other brothers and sisters would have been able to tell me about.

I remember dad kicking bark into Robb's eye in Richland when he was pruing that huge tree in our front yard. I don't know how old I was living there. I also remember the ice cream truck there.
And I remember telling a little girl she was going to hell. I think her name was Cappy or something like that.

Saxy C, you were 2 when Dad ACCIDENTLY knocked bark into Robbie's eye - poor Robbie was looking up in the tree watching Dad...
And I think you were about 3 or 4 when you told Cappy she was on the fast train to Hell. Hopefully she's wised up by now!

Hey Face and g-diddy,
That wasn't a dream. Auntie did indeed some and pick us up froms chool one time. Mom hadn't told us they were coming and they worked it between them to have Auntie and the cousins come and get us after school. I had gotten you (Face) from your class as usual and we went out to the playground with Lil' Brudder to wait by the flagpole, like we always did. We were looking for Mom and then we saw Auntie coming over with Sara and Robb in tow. Auntie said "I'm kidnapping you!" and we freaked out and started laughing. Pretty cool memory. :)

That's so fun reading all of the memories! I remember having to put a fake "monster spray"label on a can of Lysol because Melissa was so scared they were hiding under her bed. First I would sing and pray with her and then I had to spray under the bed with the "monster spray".
